Here at Cookcraft Woodworking, we try to be as eco-friendly as possible. This starts with the source material – reclaimed wood – and ends with waste disposal. A lot of sawdust is created during the process.
We collect it, mix it up into a watery soup with shredded paper and ash, press out the water, and allow the bricks to dry. After a few weeks, they are ready to be burnt in the fireplace, along with the leftover scraps of wood. This helps to heat the workshop during the colder months of the year.
Naturally, even the press itself was made from leftover scraps of wood.
