Glowing Veneer

These ceiling lights display geometric designs inspired by a range of everyday objects, from a camera shutter to the Roman monument it aims to capture. Various mathematical arrangements of bulbs and slender columns create patterns of light on the ceiling. The contrasting maple and jatoba come, for the most part, from reclaimed sources. Two different types of maple veneer (quarter-sawn and birds-eye) only let through a warm glow. This property takes light from above and removes the intrusive aspects, replacing them with an ambient signature.
